Land Holdings
As the largest owner of industrial-zoned land in New Zealand, Calder Stewart Land Holdings boasts over 900 hectares of significant national land holdings, demonstrating our commitment to strategically positioned and high-value properties.

Property Investment
The Stewart Family owns significant industrial, commercial and office investment property across New Zealand, many of which have been developed by Calder Stewart Group.
These diversified assets contain a mix of assets with long-term leases to national and international tenants, and a number of Calder Stewart Group’s operational business units. The properties are managed by our in-house property management and facilities management function.
Forestry
Stewart Family Forests stands as one of New Zealand's largest privately-owned forestry businesses, managing approximately 6,500 hectares of thriving forestry across nine prime locations in Otago. Since planting our first tree in 1979, we've expanded our operations to plant around 1 million tree seedlings annually, growing our forestry at an impressive rate of 500-1,000 hectares per year. Our commitment to sustainable forestry practices includes active participation in the Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) alongside regular harvesting rotations. Our diverse portfolio spans from one to 35-year-old trees, featuring a variety of species including Pine, Douglas Fir, and Macrocarpa. With our forestry portfolio sequestering one tonne of carbon from the atmosphere every seven minutes, we showcase our dedication to fostering a sustainable and valuable forestry legacy while actively combating climate change.
Funds Management
In 2019, Stewart Family Capital launched the brand, a dynamic wholesale property fund with a current AUM of approximately $600 million across 23 properties. The Stewart family retains a cornerstone shareholding of around 30%, reflecting our confidence and commitment to the fund. Managed by the fully-owned subsidiary, FortHill Property Management, the FHP portfolio exemplifies our strategic approach to property investment.
